Job Description Job Description Job Title: Marine Painter Job Description We are seeking up to 40 skilled shipyard painters or laborers experienced in surface preparation work. This position offers an initial 6 month contract, with the possibility of extension for an additional ten months, providing a long-term opportunity for dedicated individuals. Responsibilities Perform surface preparation work for painting projects in a shipyard environment. Mix paint and prepare materials as required for each project. Utilize tools such as needle guns for paint preparation tasks. Ensure all work is completed to high-quality standards and within specified timeframes. Essential Skills Experience in shipyard painting or labor roles with a focus on surface preparation. Ability to mix paint and prepare materials efficiently. Work Environment Work is conducted at the Naval Operating Base (NOB), requiring a Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) for access. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
