Job Description:

The Accountant/Operations Manager has direct responsibility for the company budget, accounts payable, financial statement reporting, and audit functions, assuring sound fiscal planning, controls, and oversight. The Accountant/Operations Manager also shares responsibility for the Human Resources function and will be responsible for overseeing building/systems operations and maintenance. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Maintain accounting system to include: budget, general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, fixed assets, and depreciation 2. Develop the annual operating budget 3. Process all accounts payable 4. Analyze monthly expense reports and prepare budget vs. actual variance statements 5. Prepare monthly financial statements, schedules and other reports; determine if they are accurate, reliable and supported by accounting records 6. Provide primary support to Operations and Finance Committees, including meeting scheduling, planning, materials, attendance, minutes and follow up 7. Provide primary support to Audit Committee, including meeting scheduling, planning, materials, attendance, minutes and follow up 8. Process all payrolls through payroll vendor; assure that payroll and benefit accruals are accurate each pay period REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or Finance - 4 years prior experience in a professional environment in an Accounting role - 4+ Years AP/AR, General Ledger, Bookkeeping, Reconciliation and Payroll Experience - Prior Knowledge of HR practices - Highly Proficient with Quickbooks or comparable software - Highly Proficient with Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel We offer competitive salary and benefits, 401K, paid vacation and opportunity for internal advancement.
