Job Description Job Description Duties: • Complete complex accounting analysis requiring the application of accounting theory independently. • Monthly preparation and analysis of estimated contractual adjustments, charity and bad debt, the preparation and filing of Medicare and Medicaid annual cost reports and settlements with independent judgement. • Preparation and maintenance of annual budgets, Federal/State and Local tax returns, reporting to the state COPN Regulatory Authority, and cost analysis with independent judgement. • Interpret and communicate federal and state regulations. Manage and assess priorities and deadlines with independent judgement. • Assess the theoretical integrity of accounting functions performed in the area of responsibility. Recommend and implements improvements. • Serve as a liaison with regulatory and taxing agencies, external consultants, auditors, and RHS leadership and administrators Education: • Bachelors Degree, Accounting or Finance/Business with concentration in Accounting (Required) • Masters Degree, Related field (Preferred) Experience: • 1 year Accounting experience with Analysis/Budget/Financial Statements (Required) • Prior experience in Healthcare Accounting/Finance (Preferred) Licenses and Certifications: • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - The AICPA (Preferred) Skills: Excellent Excel skills needed, heavy use of Pivot tables and advanced formulas.
