Job Description:

OverviewEffectively utilizes all department specific computer systems accurately to complete registration as required in department specific training. Responsible for all check in and registration for all patient types and must have a full understanding of the requirements of the RHS Charity program and self-pay processes. Employee will work daily reports and account work queues to ensure integrity of registration data. Must demonstrate strong problem solving skills high attention to detail and promote teamwork and customer service by demonstrating positive interpersonal relations. ?Distribution of Barium and pre medication scripts to appropriate patients and candidates.?Release of Radiographs to patients physicians via phone/fax/mail.?Must understand and demonstrate the importance of obtaining valid patient information. Ensures all necessary demographic and financial data is obtained and accurately documented in the system. The Imaging Registration Specialist will register the patients in the iCare registration system. Handle all routine patient inquiries related to the registration process. They will also setup new patient accounts in the system interacting with clinical staff physicians patients and professionals outside the department to ensure that the patient's needs are met.?Greet patients and their representatives and records pertinent information in to the Registration system. ?Provide information to patients and families demonstrating courtesy and helpfulness.?Obtains insurance information and validates through real time eligibility.?Ensures insurance filing order is correct; Completes MSPQ (Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire) on all Medicare patients?Obtains signatures on all regulatory and required documents; Ensures the patient understands the document and is offered copies for records. Enters required and valid data in the system with emphasis on accuracy of demographic data and financial information?Ensures quality of registration by resolving accounts in assigned work queues?Relays information between patients and other staff members and provides them with updates as needed.?Research required information using available resources.?Updates paper and electronic records as needed.?Refers problem accounts or accounts that need follow up to management team.?Calculates payment information accepts funds and credits accounts accordingly for Time of Service Collections; Ensures attempts for Time of Service Collections are made for all patients with patient liability.?Functioning as a team member the technologist is flexible in the work assignments rotates to support all aligned imaging facilities when needed and assists with training.QualificationsEducation/Experience: High School Diploma or GED required and 1+ years' experience in business office setting preferred or College Degree accepted in lieu of experience.--Certification: CHAA preferred.--Hours:--Labor Pool (as needed; Monday-Friday 6:30am-10pm, Saturday and Sunday 8am-4:30pm)
