Job Description Job Description Job Title: Welder Responsibilities Perform MIG and flux core welding on carbon steel according to specifications and blueprints. Prepare aluminum parts for welding, including cleaning, grinding, and fitting. Set up and operate MIG welding equipment, including wire feeders, gas regulators, and welding guns. Select appropriate welding parameters (wire type, gas type, voltage, amperage) for different aluminum alloys and thicknesses. Ensure welds meet quality standards and specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements. Follow instructions and procedures to ensure accurate and consistent welding. Essential Skills Proficiency in MIG welding. Experience with carbon steel Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Familiarity with welding equipment setup and operation. Understanding of welding parameters for various aluminum alloys and thicknesses Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport News, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
