Job Description Job Description Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1 years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. A full-time teaching position is available for an experienced educator specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students in a K-12 school setting located in Murfreesboro, TN. This contractual role runs from January through May 22, 2026, supporting DHH students within the local school district. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of deaf and hard of hearing students across K-12 grade levels. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs). Utilize appropriate communication methods and technology to enhance student learning and engagement. Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies as necessary to meet diverse learning needs. Maintain compliance with state educational standards and licensing requirements specific to DHH education. Qualifications and Experience: Valid Tennessee teaching license with a Deaf and Hard of Hearing endorsement. Experience working in educational settings with deaf and hard of hearing students preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and colleagues. Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
