Description Position at A Childcare and Learning Center $500 Sign-On Bonus! A Childcare & Learning is a licensed childcare center seeking Lead Teachers to support the following age groups: Infants Toddlers Two's Preschool Pre-K To be QUALIFIED for the Lead Teacher opportunity, we require a high school diploma, associate degree or higher is required , and the ability to pass all background checks. A plus if you have previous childcare experience and working with Infants, Toddlers, Preschoool, or Pre-K! Required Shift: Monday - Friday; 9:00am - 6:00pm Compensation: $16-$18 per hour, based on education and experience; ($500 sign-on bonus) Please note that the sign-on bonus is available for full-time hires. $250 will be distributed after 30 days of employment and the additional $250 after 90 days of employment. Our Hiring Process for Lead Teachers: Resume screen Phone screen with recruiter (30 minutes) On-site interview with Center Director (30-60 minutes) Q&A Classroom observation Offer Main Job Responsibilities for Lead Teachers: Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides. Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Use our parent communication app efficiently. Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children. Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom. Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May. Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role. Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
