Job Description Job Description T2 is in search of a Professional Land Surveyor to join our Ashland, VA team. T2 Utility Engineers specializes in providing reliable underground and above-ground utility information to reduce the risks that utilities present for infrastructure projects. T2ue helps clients manage the complexity of existing utilities with our professional and comprehensive Subsurface Utility Engineering, Utility Coordination, and Surveying services. Our mission is to provide project stakeholders with quality utility information, professional insight, and deliverables that streamline construction, improve project safety, and set the standard for the utility engineering industry. Since 1993, our reputation has been built on providing incomparable service based on high standards of technical ability and project understanding. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Conduct surveys on land sites and properties Examine previous records and evidence to ensure data accuracy Research and design methods for survey processes Use equipment and tools to accurately measure land features (e.g. longitudes, latitudes) Build maps, sketches, and charts Supervise and provide guidance to field staff Purchase and maintain equipment Report on survey results and present findings to clients Collaborate with engineers and architects on several projects Qualifications: Previous experience as a surveyor or in a similar role Working knowledge of GPS and GIS Tech savvy, including familiarity with CAD software Aptitude in math and problem-solving Attention to detail Great organizational and leadership skills Degree in Civil Engineering or a similar field Valid PLS certificate is required We Offer a Complete Benefits Package!
