Job Description:
Position Summary: Dollar Tree is seeking a strategic and
results-driven Vice President, Engineering and Logistics Services
to lead the design, optimization, maintenance, and execution of our
end-to-end supply chain infrastructure. This executive will be
responsible for driving engineering innovation, logistics
performance, and network scalability across our distribution
network. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise
with a proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives that
enhance operational performance, reduce cost, and improve service
levels across Dollar Tree. Key Responsibilities: Lead all
engineering and logistics services functions including supply chain
network design, facility layout and optimization, process
engineering, automation strategy, and logistics modeling. Own the
development and execution of long-term supply chain strategies,
ensuring alignment with the company’s growth plans and service
expectations. Drive operational excellence through continuous
improvement initiatives, leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, and other
methodologies to improve productivity and throughput across DCs.
Oversee logistics engineering support for transportation and
distribution operations, including labor management, slotting
optimization, capacity planning, and capital project management.
Lead strategic initiatives around automation, robotics, and
advanced technologies that improve efficiency and accuracy in our
distribution network. Collaborate with Distribution,
Transportation, Merchandising, and IT teams to support and enhance
overall supply chain capabilities. Develop and maintain standard
operating procedures and engineering design standards across the
supply chain network. Partner with Finance to evaluate ROI for
network investments, facility improvements, and new distribution
centers. Build and mentor a high-performing team of engineers,
analysts, and project managers, fostering a culture of
accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Represent
engineering and logistics services in cross-functional leadership
meetings and report progress to the Chief Supply Chain Officer and
executive team. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial
Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
required; MBA or master’s in engineering preferred. Minimum of 15
years of progressive experience in supply chain engineering,
logistics, or operations within a large-scale retail, distribution,
or manufacturing environment. Deep experience with supply chain
design, automation strategy, and distribution center engineering.
Proven leadership in managing large-scale logistics or engineering
teams and capital-intensive projects. Strong analytical and
financial acumen; experience with modeling tools and logistics
software (e.g., AutoCAD, Manhattan, Llamasoft, Tableau). Excellent
communication, collaboration, and change leadership skills. Ability
to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, and mission-driven
environment. 50%-75% Travel Required This role is required to be
onsite in Chesapeake, VA. Relocation Benefits will be provided.
