Job Description:
Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry
specifically for the pulp and paper industry, is seeking a
Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical
Design Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department
supporting product development and manufacturing processes. The
ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills,
problem-solving abilities, and effective communication, which will
align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Mechanical
Design Engineer Location: Chesapeake, Virginia 23323 Pay Range:
$70,000 - $100,000 Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder What's
the Job? Independently design applicable products of client using
2D and 3D CAD systems Generate complete and accurate production
drawings for internal and external manufacturing Manage the
mechanical portion of projects from start to finish Lead and
perform customer onsite measure-ups and gather technical
requirements Coordinate with manufacturing personnel on jig,
fixture, and manufacturability considerations What's Needed?
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering
Technology Minimum of 2 years' experience in mechanical design
Strong proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD systems Proficient in word
processing and spreadsheets Solid understanding of mechanical
design, manufacturing methods, and field installation
