Senior Functional Automation Engineer (Team Lead) (Security Clearance required)

Raytheon IIS is currently seeking a Senior Functional Automation Engineer (Team Lead) to join the Air Operations Center (AOC) team. Location of work is Hampton, VA.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:---Lead a team of about 7-10 engineers to introduce and successfully apply automation to the Air Operations Center (AOC) functional and performance testing activities and automated installation, configuration, and deployment activities. (The AOC weapon system is a system-of-systems with over 25 major applications.)---Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for automated installation, configuration, and deployment using multiple automation methods, including Red Hat Ansible and Power Shell scripting.---Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for automated functional test methods, providing the technical guidance and leadership to the team in the adoption of test automation methods.---Develop and implement an automation approach that includes modularity, reusability, configurability, sustainability, and quality---Represent the Automation team in relevant government and Raytheon leadership meetings; maintain awareness and report status on tasks; advise leadership, including providing detailed input in the development of release schedules---Ensure that quality and coding standards are adhered to during the development of automation scripts---Create and review new automation artifacts such as automated test artifacts and automated installation artifacts---Facilitate and implement configuration management and data management for all automation scripts---Foster a collaborative working relationship with contacts in the independent test community and development program offices---Support the operations and sustainment of lab resources---Troubleshoot issues, track status, and document resolution in a centralized issue management system for matters related to automated test and automated installation/configuration artifact qualityRequired Qualifications & Skills:US CitizenSECRET Clearance---Strong software engineering background, to include software architecture principles, software design principles, software coding best practices.---In-depth knowledge and experience in automation tools, preferably Red Hat Ansible and PowerShell---Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment---Advanced YAML, and PowerShell skills and Power Shell experience---Excellent communication and organizational skills---Ability to produce detailed technical documentation---Ability to work on a team under pressure to meet strict schedule requirementsAdditional Preferred Qualifications & Skills:---Experience with automation engineering on a Department of Defense program---Experience automating installations and configurations on multiple operating system such as Windows, Unix, and Solaris---Experience with multiple automation tools, such as Chef, Puppet, and Ansible---Experience with Scripting with Ansible, Ruby, Power Shell or other similar scripting languages---Experience with automated functional and performance test development, preferably with Micro Focus (previously HP) Unified Functional Test (UFT)---Experience with DevOps methods and associated toolchains, including Continuous Integration, Continuous Validation, and Continuous Delivery---System administration of systems required for the labs, including Windows Server 2012R2Education/Experience:Bachelor---s degree with a minimum eight (8) years of functional area experience;orMaster---s degree with a minimum six (6) years of functional area experience;orPhD with a minimum four (4) years of functional area experience. 122421BR 122421
