Troon is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Community Association Manager for a large scale community in the Virginia Beach area. General Purpose:

The Community Association Manager will serve as an Executive Director of Operations, working closely with and reporting to the General Manager, and together will be responsible for the overall member experience within the community.

Position Summary:

As a Troon Community Association Manager, you must be eager to provide one-on-one customer service with the understanding that you represent the face of a company focused on providing outstanding service. The role will include providing leadership, direction, and management to ensure the property is maintained and operated in accordance with Troon's standards. Responsibilities include working closely with the Home Owner's Association, the Board of Directors and the Developer, and act as a representative of Troon, while facilitating solutions between the community, the company, and internal support staff.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Delivers and promotes prompt, courteous, and outgoing friendly service to all residents, guests, and fellow employees in a manner that promotes our values
  • Builds and nurtures professional relationships between the Community, the Team Members, and the Company
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of contracted vendors and evaluate their performance
  • Investigate complaints, disturbances, and violations, and resolve problems following rules and regulations
  • Inspect grounds, facilities, and equipment to determine necessity of repairs or maintenance
  • Solicit and analyze bids from contractors for repairs and/or maintenance
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate general maintenance, major repairs, and construction projects as directed
  • Maintain records of maintenance and operating costs, as well as all related Association documents
  • Assist Board with the selection of vendors, and manage contracts for provision of Association services such as cleaning, maintenance, and access control services as directed
  • Confer regularly with community association members to ensure their needs are being met
  • Provides leadership to Team Members
  • Manage Community Access Control, including overall access for members, guests, and other visitors
  • Oversees covenant enforcement for members through routine inspections
  • Manages the process of repair and maintenance of common facilities, roads, street signage and lighting
  • Prepares and assist with Community budget
  • Oversees reserve study for Community Association assets
  • Secures and prepares bid specifications
  • Assists with collection of dues, assessments and other charges also sending reminder letters as needed
  • Works with the Board and Committee, coordinating and attend Board meetings, track board minutes and resolutions
  • Tracks and maintains financial, compliance and corporate records, recorded membership and disclosure statements as well as governing documents
  • Maintains Board training and planned Community statue compliance
  • Maintains certifications and education that pertain to the role and responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties as required Education/Experience:
    • Minimum of five years' experience working within a large-scale community
    • PCAM certification required
    • Experience in luxury hospitality Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements
      • Proven leadership/supervisory experience
      • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
      • Highly organized and detail oriented with an ability to multitask
      • Capacity to plan, organize and prioritize to meet deadlines
      • Proficient in information technology; Outlook, Microsoft platforms and industry-related programs
