The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas. BSN or MSN preferred. Meets and maintains any requirements defined by specific specialty; Critical Care/IMCU/EP/Advanced Heart Failure Center/SMG Cardiology Practices- ACLS within 1 year of hire; Emergency Care - ACLS & PALS or ENPC within 1 year of hire; de-escalation and physical intervention training within 90 days of hire. For designated Oncology units, Oncology Care ONS/ONCC or Sentara approved course Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Card within 6 months of hire. Women's Care - Perinatal departments; NRP within 6 months of hire. Behavioral Health - De-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire. Inpatient Pediatrics. PALS within 6 months of hire. All Direct Care RN's required to have BLS within 90 days of hire. Job Posting Sentara Careplex Hospital in Hampton, Virginia is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Cath Lab! This position is full time day shift - Monday through Friday 8 hour shifts from 7 am to 3:30pm. Department/Position Overview: The Cardiac Cath Lab at Sentara CarePlex Hospital is a combination lab, serving patients needing Cardiac, Vascular and Angio/IR interventions. To meet the needs of our patients who experience life and limb-threatening emergencies, on-call is required; this includes some weekends and holidays. Must live within 30 minutes of the hospital This unit will consider someone with Telemetry, IMCU, Stepdown, ED, ICU, PACU, OR experience.
