Sentara Careplex Hospital located in Hampton, VA is hiring a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator. The Unit Coordinator will assist the Team Coordinator and Manager with the daily 24-hour operations of the unit.

Shift: Nights - 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

We are a 24-bed unit that specializes in providing exceptional care for Solid Tumor Oncology, Hematology Oncology, and Surgical Oncology patients.

As an RN on this unit, some the services you will provide are as follows:

Chemotherapy/Biotherapy drug administration (Certification required after 6-months of hire.)
Pre/Post-Surgical Care
Hospice and Palliative Care
Sickle Cell Management

Required Nursing experience and a BSN.

Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.

Job Summary

Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. 18 months nursing experience required. BSN required; Master degree preferred, if the graduate degree is not in nursing then the BSN is required. Meets any requirements defined by specific specialty.
Behavioral Health - de-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire.
Emergency Care - de-escalation and physical intervention training within 90 days of hire.
BLS required within 90 days of hire. Professional Specialty Nursing Certification preferred.

Qualifications:

N-4YR - RN-Bachelor's Level Degree (Required), N-6YR - RN-Master's Level Degree (Required), N-DN - RN-Doctorate Level Degree (Required)

Basic Life Support (BLS) - Other/National, Registered Nurse License (RN) - Compact/Multi-State License, Registered Nurse License (RN) - North Carolina, Registered Nurse License (RN) - Virginia
