AwardRequirements: Degree: Associate or Bachelor's degree in
Nursing. Education: Graduate from a college or university
accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing
(ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or as
otherwise identified Certifications in addition to Basic Life
Support: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced
Life Support (PALS) Experience: One year of experience in nursing
as identified after graduation. **Additional Experience Required:
Three years of clinical experience is required before participating
in tele-health nursing practice Board Certification: N/A Preferred
to have certification in Peds/Med Surg/Ambulatory
Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active unrestricted
Registered Nursing License Must be a U.S. CitizenDuties:Provides
primary or specialty medical care with the cognizance or
supervision of a physician.Responsible for a regularly appointed
clinic, compatible with workload and providing immediate evaluation
and management of emergent problems. Shall have the capability to:
Collect and record, in proper format, medical and social historical
data appropriate to the patient's condition. Perform a general
physical examination. May become the primary care manager for a
panel of patients. As a PCM, will be the primary person responsible
for the management of the health and wellness of assigned
patients.Duties also include:Examination of patients, formulation
of differential diagnostic plans, defines and orders required
diagnostic testing. Interpretation of examination findings and test
results, and implementation of treatment plans. Determines the need
for consultation and assists in medical care and treatment provided
at the direction of other specialists. Approving/disapproving
subspecialty referrals.Additionally Core Duties cover the
following: Answering patient telephone consults with the assistance
of clinic staff. Providing primary and secondary preventive
maintenance care. Admit inpatients as per the local MTF
instructions. Recognize those more complicated cases, initiate
treatment (if appropriate), and refer to a higher level of medical
expertise for diagnosis and/or treatment. Plan and initiate proper
treatment within defined privileges and the scope of practice of
the facility. Identify and report those situations and individual
cases which have public health significance and carry out effective
control measures. Communicate to other health personnel either
orally or in writing the findings, diagnosis, and planned treatment
regimen. Stabilize and manage a patient in a medical or surgical
emergency and/or transfer to physician care. Determine appropriate
means of evacuation of emergency patients, prepare patients for
evacuation, and arrange for evacuation support. Perform the
following blocks: Digital, Local Infiltration, and Intercostal
Perform urological procedures. Maintain inpatient and outpatient
medical records following MTF treatment regimen. Stabilize and
manage a patient in a medical or surgical emergency and/or transfer
to physician care. Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a
wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate the achievement
of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality and cost
effectiveness. Ensure compliance with standards of care and
practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures,
and guidelines used in the MTF. Perform physical exam and health
histories. Provide health promotions, counseling, and education.
Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized
interventions. Direct and supervise care provide by other
healthcare professionals. Accountable for making patient care
assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of
assigned personnel. Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and
quickly react in emergency situations. Communicate and collaborate
with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the
healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit
the patient/family and organization. Make referral appointments and
arrange specialty care as appropriate. Perform nursing services
identified in the TO. Conduct research in support of improved
practice and patient outcomes.Start date: As soon as possible
pending Federal Security Clearance process completion (typically
4-6 weeks after initiation)Schedule: Mon - Fri: 0730-1730Ability to
commute: Reliable transportation required and expected for commute
