Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), RN for our Lancashire Nursing
& Rehabilitation Center, located in Kilmarnock, VA. This position
is a Full Time opportunity.The Assistant Director of Nursing
reports to the Director of Nursing and assists with maintaining
quality standards of nursing.Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:Supervises resident care to assure
quality.Monitors and manages systems as assigned by the Director of
Nursing.Completes assigned duties and paper work timely.Supervises
nursing staff to ensure quality of care.Assumes role of Director of
Nursing as needed.Assumes on call duties.Promotes and demonstrates
positive customer service towards VHS, co-workers, residents and
visitors.Attends and participates in committees as
assigned.Complies with all established policies and
procedures.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications and
Requirements:Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and holds
current Virginia, RN license.Experience/education in Gerontological
Nursing required.Computer knowledge preferred.Ability to read,
write, analyze, and interpret information.While performing the
essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required
to walk, turn, bend, stoop, lift, push, pull, reach, talk, hear,
taste and smell.Must be able to lift, push, pull and move up to 50
pounds.Risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens and hazardous
