Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Richmond, Virginia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: /n/n Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. /n/n Opportunity: /n RN - Med Surg /n/n Job Details: /n • Work on Medical Trauma Unit providing medical surgical and telemetry care /n• Patient ratios of 5-6:1 in a 34-bed unit with private and semi-private rooms /n• Work with remote telemetry, vein finder, bladder scanner, EKG machine, Doppler, Hoyer Lift, glucometer, pulse ox, scales, and wound vac equipment /n• Use Meditech EMR system /n• Every other weekend schedule required with no call responsibilities /n• Medical surgical experience and BLS certification required /n• RN license required /n• Trauma experience and telemetry experience preferred /n• Manage complex wounds, administration of blood products, pain management /n• Handle tubes and drains including NG, PEG, feeding tubes, surgical drains, and chest tubes /n• Float to medical surgical and telemetry units if certified /n• Navy scrubs required /n• Must be a team player and compassionate caregiver /n/n Facility: /n This medical center features a comprehensive Medical Trauma Unit located on the 4th floor, providing specialized care for medical surgical and telemetry patients.
