This key role offers flexible, PRN scheduling to support the ongoing needs of Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a trusted government contractor dedicated to serving those who have served. Required Skills: Valid medical license in the state of Virginia Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or related fields Proven experience with general medicine and assessment exams Excellent interview and physical assessment skills Ability to perform compensation and pension (C&P) exams and separation health assessments Strong communication skills and attention to detail Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience in Veterans Healthcare or similar government contract work Familiarity with VA protocols and procedures Certification in relevant medical certifications or training related to C&P exams Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in general medicine or related specialties Experience conducting interview-based assessments and physical tests such as range of motion and muscle strength testing Other Requirements: Own office location(s) in Virginia for conducting exams (Coeburn, Covington, Hillsville, Charlottesville) Willingness to work PRN days based on scheduling needs Credentialing and onboarding process completion Local candidates preferred; travel costs included in rates No prescribing or treatment responsibilities Must adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations This is an excellent opportunity to serve Veterans while enjoying a flexible schedule and competitive compensation.
