Trustaff is seeking a travel nurse RN Case Management for a travel nursing job in Mechanicsville, Virginia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Case Management - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel RN Case Manager Position Details NO LOCAL CANDIDATES (no candidates within 50-mile radius) Fast paced environment so time management skills are crucial Identifies and prioritizes patients in need of care management services. Plans with the patient, caregivers and members of the healthcare team to maximize results, quality and cost-effective outcomes. Monitors and revises the plan as indicated when patient condition changes. Document and review/follow up on regulatory notices with patients and caregivers. Completes all necessary documentation including a plan of care to address post hospital care needs (including post-acute care placements). Supports denial prevention related to medical necessity through addressing / removing barriers to progression of care and participating in Interdisciplinary Discharge Rounds. Strong collaborative partnerships with other members of the care team. EPIC & CarePort experience preferred Associate degree in Nursing required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred Two years of clinical care experience required One year of travel experience required Three years' experience in acute care in a clinical setting preferred Ambulatory or post-acute, care coordination experience preferred VA license and BLS required ACM or CCM or ANCC preferred 40 hrs DAYS 8A - 4:30P, One weekend shift per month Unit Details Avg caseload: 18-22 Patient population: Will be assigned to a specific unit during the week but may cover multiple units during weekend shift (Adult med-surg , Step down, Observation, Oncology, and Maternal Infant (including NICU)) Staff size: Approx 22 FTEs - Manager, Team leads, RN Care Mangers, Social Work Care Managers, Care Management Assistants About Trustaff Our nurse-first attitude has set us apart from other travel nursing agencies When you join the Trustaff family, you’re more than just a body filling a role—you're a vibrant individual with dreams and aspirations.
