Nurse Practitioner | Administration Location: Virginia, VA Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Join Our Team as a Locum Nurse Practitioner – General Medicine VA and Make a Meaningful Difference in Veterans’ Lives We are seeking dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioners specializing in General Medicine to support veterans across Virginia through critical Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. This flexible, PRN position offers you the opportunity to contribute to essential veteran care while maintaining your current commitments. Required Skills: Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Virginia or eligible for licensing Proven experience in general medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, or orthopedic surgery Strong interview and physical assessment skills including range of motion and muscle strength testing Ability to work independently in a self-owned office setting Excellent organizational skills to manage exams and report submissions efficiently Clear communication skills and professionalism Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience performing Compensation & Pension exams or Separation Health Assessments Familiarity with VA or government medical documentation processes Certification in additional medical specialties relevant to veteran care Preferred Education and Experience: Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in general medicine or related field Prior experience in a locum or temporary medical role is advantageous Other Requirements: Must own a suitable office space for conducting exams Willingness to perform exams on a PRN basis, with flexible scheduling (some days available as half-days or full days) Ability to complete exams and submit reports remotely in accordance with program guidelines Local candidates only; travel expenses included in rates This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Nurse Practitioner to serve veterans while enjoying competitive compensation.
