Registered Nurse (RN) | Oncology Location: Richmond, VA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,151 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 9 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/16/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Oncology RN in Richmond, Virginia, 23220! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric Oncology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 9.5 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Current RN license required in the state of practice Certifications: PALS, Chemotherapy Certification, APHON, ONS, BLS required Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years of pediatric oncology experience - Experience with chemotherapy, biotherapy, blood product infusions and treatments - Ability to recognize and manage side effects of treatments - Knowledge of pediatric oncology diagnoses Description: Position available in an outpatient pediatric oncology clinic. Candidate must possess a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Chemotherapy, biotherapy, blood product infusions, and treatments are integral to this role. Candidates should have previous charge experience and be comfortable with patient ratios of 4-5. Experience with the Epic charting system is required. The daily census includes a diverse group of patients, from adolescents to infants. Responsibilities include care coordination and patient/family education and support. Candidates will manage chemotherapy administration, including IV push and oral chemotherapy. Skills in phlebotomy and care management of ports and central lines are essential. Knowledge of medication tolerance and assessment is necessary. Awareness and communication of abnormal lab values is required. Candidates must demonstrate effective collaboration within a pediatric team. Essential competencies include managing side effects, recognizing signs of sepsis, and understanding isolation precautions. The environment requires flexibility to float within scope as needed.
