REPORTS TO: Assistant General Manager, General Manager
Purpose for the Position: Provide exceptional beach service and pampering to hotel guests.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Daily setting and removal of lounge chairs and related beach concierge stand equipment.
2. Properly dress beach lounge chairs, deliver complimentary refreshments to hotel guests.
3. Carry a perennial smile and a friendly "can-do" attitude towards guests.
4. Maintain, clean, and ensure area and equipment is safe and presentable.
5. Sweep, trash pickup, and general cleaning of the beach concierge area and decks.
To do this kind of work, you must be able to:
--- Must be an outgoing and welcoming personality for the hotel.
--- Previous spa and hotel experience preferred.
--- Must enjoy working outdoors.
--- Make decisions based on own judgment and company policy.
--- Follow instructions without close supervision.
--- Lifting and moving lounge chairs to and from the beach to the storage location.
--- Be available for work days, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Demands: Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up
to 30 lbs. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree, reaching, handling, feeling, talking,
hearing, seeing.
Environmental Conditions: Must be able to stand outdoors for long periods of time.
Math Skills: Requires mathematical development sufficient to be able to: Add and subtract.
Language Skills: Must have developed language skills to the point to be able to: Read instructions,
rules, etc. Fluent in English and other languages a plus.
