This team ensures that the organization's multiple payrolls are processed accurately and on time. This position would reside in our HR Infrastructure team and would be based in our Americas Region. As part of a global team, the payroll professional will perform essential activities required for the execution of end-to-end global payroll operations, while ensuring integrity of financial information, in accordance with internal policies and external government regulations. This position can be located within commuting distance to Newark, DE. Responsibilities: Supporting payroll activities such as the reporting, collection and analysis of full-cycle payroll related data sources for use in payroll generation for all levels of the organization, across all locations and across multiple time zones Navigating complex situations, recognizing problematic areas, and taking ownership of communications through timely resolution Providing in-depth analysis of policies to ensure accurate application of earnings, deductions and taxable events align with regulatory, Plan and internal policy guidance Managing the disbursement of global payrolls, including benefits and taxes consistent with federal, state, and local regulations Auditing payroll calculation methodologies and testing payroll system updates as part of on-going compliance review Evaluating, improving and maintaining existing work processes by implementing lean methodology to ensure most effective use of resources and drive operation excellence Building and nurturing strong working relationships with all levels across the organization, 3rd party providers, and others to resolve issues and drive process improvements Establishing record keeping and control systems across locations/countries to provide audit-ready books and records, while establishing internal safeguards that ensure compliance Providing external audit preparation & response Implementing internal controls and maintaining compliance relating to the payroll process Improving local processes and systems to ensure cost and operational efficiency in accordance with global policies and best practice Take lead on local implementation of global projects to drive adhere to payroll enterprise standards Working with global payroll leader to drive hub penetration Required Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years related experience, preferably with in-house payroll processing systems Experience using chart of accounts and understanding of basic payroll accounting while applying laws, codes, policies and procedures that impact the end-to-end payroll process across countries Experience working in virtual teams, with demonstrated decision-making and conflict-resolution skills Advanced mathematical and data modeling skills using excel formulas, such as v-lookup, pivot tables and filtering Demonstrated knowledge of payroll administration including the basics of the payroll cycle, time and attendance, gross to net, deductions, taxes, direct deposits, live checks from data collection to booking to general ledger Solid and current understanding of rules, regulations, policies and practices governing wage payments, distributions, and record keeping across multiple jurisdictions Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and influencing skills Be proactive, agile, number-sensitive, analytical and detail-oriented, critical thinker Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements Ability to work under pressure and perform multifaceted projects in conjunction with daily activities Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team, with overseas and local associates Desired Qualifications: Payroll or Financial certification preferred with equivalent experience Experienced consulting and collaborating with leaders and teams in process optimization and compliance governance projects PeopleSoft 9.2 and above; ADP Streamline or other Managed Outsourced Solution Demonstrated organizational skills - resourceful, self-managed, high standard of accuracy and excellent follow-up skills Passion for learning, clear and critical thinker High level of initiative and follow through Self-starter who can prioritize work and organize workload simultaneously with minimal supervisionWhat We Offer: At Gore, we offer comprehensive, competitive rewards in the form of compensation and benefits.
