Job Description Job Description Job Opportunity: Outside Machinist Location: Newport News, VA Pay: $20.66–$27.31/hr (Local) | $20.66–$27.31/hr and $145 Per Day Worked for Per Diem (Non-Local) Schedule: Full-Time, Contract | 40 hrs/week About the Role Install, align, and repair shipboard mechanical systems (pumps, valves, gears, auxiliaries). Key Responsibilities - Disassemble/repair/align rotating equipment. - Read manuals/blueprints; perform precision alignment. - Hydro tests and operational checks. Requirements - 3 years outside machinist experience (marine preferred). - Alignment/precision measurement skills. - HS diploma/GED; background & drug screening.
