If so, lets talk.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs an Oracle DBA you will be challenged to expand your skillsets and learn new technologies in a fast-paced and friendly environment. To be successful in this role you will remain up to date on vendor technologies and recommended best practices in a highly available, enterprise environment. You will also need to have strong Oracle database experience and be familiar with MySQL and EDB/PostgreSQL.You will need to be prepared to work an average of 40 hours per week with a blend of onsite and remote work (2 days a week onsite in Radford, VA).Required Technical and Professional Expertise* At least 5 years of experience with the Oracle Enterprise Database (including design, installation, configuration, administration, patching, upgrades, tuning, backup and recovery, and troubleshooting) in a UNIX environment on physical and virtual servers; similar skills are required for MySQL and EDB/PostgreSQL.* Experience with Oracle 12c, 19c including Multitenant, RAC, DataGuard, Grid Infrastructure, Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM) and Oracle Automatic Storage Management Cluster File System (ACFS)* Strong backup and recovery experience using Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) with Veritas NetBackup* Strong security experience including data-at-rest, over-the-wire encryption using pkcs12 containers, and transparent data encryption (TDE) for Oracle and MySQL* Strong performance tuning experience for both transactional and analytical workloads* Strong troubleshooting experience utilizing database and operating system capabilities* Strong shell scripting experience in PL/SQL* Strong system administrative experience* Strong documentation and interpersonal skills* Able to participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation* Minimum of a fully adjudicated DOD Secret clearance* Master's degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree with at least 12 years of relevant experience**Required Certifications:**- CompTIA Security- Oracle Database CertificationPreferred Technical and Professional Expertise* Databases: Oracle 12c, Oracle 19c, MySQL 5.7, PostgreSQL 13.5* Informatica 1205.0609* Oracle BI (OBIEE) 12.2.1* Platforms: Linux x86-64 with SELinuxExperience With Any Of The Following Is Beneficial* Oracle Weblogic 11g and 12c* Oracle Business Intelligence 11g and 12c* Oracle Application Express* Oracle REST Data Services* Oracle Forms and Reports* Informatica PowerCenter* Apache Tomcat* Strong shell scripting experience in MySQL, and PL/pgSQL* Working knowledge of DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and Security Requirements Guides (SRG)About Business UnitIBM Consulting is IBM's consulting and global professional services business, with market leading capabilities in business and technology transformation.
