Transformational Strategist - Convergent Aeronautics
The National Institute of Aerospace (NIA) has an immediate
opening for an individual to join the research team supporting NASA
Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate (ARMD)s Convergent
Aeronautics Solutions (CAS) program in a goal of transforming the
way aeronautics research is accomplished.
In order to meet the future needs of NASA and the broader
aeronautic community, change is necessary. The successful candidate
will integrate with multi-disciplinary team members to survey
existing work and make bold recommendations for disruptive versus
stepwise change. The candidate will aide in identifying
opportunities for cultural change and acceptance of new approaches.
This will entail training and seminars to broader NASA audiences
across at least the four NASA centers supporting CAS.
- Assessing the current state of CAS projects and roadmaps to
identify strengths and shortcomings
- Leveraging best-of-practice knowledge from diverse industries
to recommend innovative new approaches
- Developing and delivering educational content to teams of NASA
researchers in order to facilitate the recommended changes
- Master's degree or equivalent in pertinent subject area
- 5 years minimum experience
- Ability to successfully complete a background investigation
required to obtain a NASA badge
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status is a bona fide
- Previous exposure to NASA culture and missions
