**IT Subject Matter Expert/Functional Area Lead - Microsoft Exchange Administration**

**Job Summary:**

Primary responsibilities for the Functional Area Lead consist of the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of a Microsoft Office 365 exchange mail environment enterprise environment (>3000 users). Additional responsibilities include supporting the Blackberry/Good Mobile Technology environment. The candidate will provide systems administration responsibilities across a wide array of technical services. This project operates 24x7x365 operations, day, evening, night and weekend shifts. Candidates must be willing to work shifts.

**Management Responsibilities:**

+ Strong communications skills (message management).

+ Participate in weekly site team lead meetings and disseminate messages to be shared with functional area employees.

+ Represent IAFNOS from a functional area perspective in daily meetings, functional area summits and ensure project and functional area messaging is communicated clearly and professionally, emphasizing a single IAFNOS team (meaning all locations, not just one) when speaking.

+ Supervise functional area team, provide performance feedback, training, mentoring, and develop and communicate each team members growth path and provide continual feedback on progress of employee's progress toward this growth path.

+ Work with other locations to build a culture of a unified team environment.

+ Advise management on employee's progress, or lack thereof toward the growth path defined to the employee and other observations regarding each employee's performance.

+ Develop, coordinate and communicate shift schedules, ensure shift coverage requirements are met as well as TPI, clearance compliance per shift and ensure employees do not feel stuck on a shift.

+ Ensure that as attrition occurs that remaining employees are considered for promotion prior to communicating staffing needs to the site lead.

+ Manage timesheets and employee leave schedules.

+ Participate and encourage employee appreciation initiatives.

+ Create and maintain an environment conducive to employees feeling comfortable expressing concerns or issues.

**Key Responsibilities:**

The operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of a Microsoft Office 365 Exchange mail enterprise environment (>3000 users). Additional responsibilities include supporting the Blackberry (Previously Good Mobile) Technology environment. The candidate will provide systems administration responsibilities across a wide array of technical services.

Duties include: Installation/Configuration of Microsoft Exchange, Implementation and management of Exchange High Availability technologies (e.g. DAG's, Clustering), Practical knowledge of SMTP routing, Active Directory/LDAP, and DNS, Mail Routing, Exchange and SMTP Troubleshooting, IIS (Internet Information Services) Administration, Troubleshooting, Remote Server, Application Mail Relay, Backup and Restore, Disaster Recovery concepts and Patch Management.

This position requires the candidate have experience with the following products, Scripting (PowerShell), Microsoft SQL Server, Dell PowerEdge Server management, BIND/WINS Management, Symantec Mail Security Products, MCSA/MCSE - Windows Server 2016/2019- Messaging, MCITP - Windows Server 2008- Messaging, Enterprise Virtualization and Migration Exchange Server Migration (to include mailbox migrations).


**Minimum Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

+ 12 years of experience

+ Must have 1 to 4 years working experience and intimate proficiency with Microsoft Exchange administration and troubleshooting in a large-scale, enterprise, multi-site environment.

+ Must have 3 years work experience supporting, maintaining and administering core Microsoft technologies including Windows Server 2012/2016.

+ In depth understanding of Exchange mailboxes, distribution lists and contacts

+ Sound working knowledge of Internet/Intranet technologies including security features.

+ Working knowledge of network infrastructure and operations, including switching, routing, Ethernet, TCP/IP and knowledge of remote access technology.

+ Thorough knowledge of Active Directory (managing users computers, groups and contacts)

+ Excellent customer service and telephone skills, and experience in a professional service environment, with responsibility for supporting multiple applications and network environments.

**Desired Qualifications:**

+ Microsoft Exchange Server, Mobile messaging technologies: Blackberry (Previously Good Mobile Technologies), Blackberry Enterprise Server, is strongly desired.

+ Collaboration; Microsoft OCS and Lync

**Certifications Required:**

+ DoD 8570 requirement IAT Level II, Security or equivalent (no exceptions).

+ MCSA SQL Server 2012 or greater.

+ MCSE Productivity.


+ Possess a DoD Secret Security clearance, Top Secret preferred.
