Job Description:

To assist in the creation and maintenance of the resort's beverage program. Including cocktail menu, specials and promotions. To serve beverages and/or food to the guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner, resulting in guest satisfaction. Also, to prepare beverages for other servers to supply to guests, and provide cash change to the server as needed.


  1. Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet.

  2. Must adhere to all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to insure all laws are being followed.

  3. Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to insure product quality.

  4. Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks. Mixes garnishes and presents drinks suing standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.

  5. Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest and personnel guests, including those served by other beverage servers, to maintain accountability of all beverages served in accordance to standard operating procedures.

  6. Receives cash from guests, makes any change needed, verifies validity of charges, records charges, and insures vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all moneys.

  7. Locks up and stores all beverages, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank.

  8. Maintain Bar clean / tidy / neat all the time.

  9. Complete knowledge of drink (cocktail) recipes

  10. Prepare specialty drink requests.

  11. Basic English language writing skills necessary for completion of requisitions, balance sheets and vouchers.

  12. Must practice the 10-5-3 rule as policy.

  13. Other duties as assigned such as assisting Manager On Duty with disorderly guests.

  14. All other projects as assigned by management.


Minimum Requirements:

Extensive alcohol knowledge and bartending experience required. Creative and self-motivating mindset. High school diploma preferred. Must work well with or without direct supervision. Must be flexible to work varying schedules to include weekends and holidays. Food Handling certificate required. Must attend the RSVP Alcohol Awareness training program. Must be able to legally prove age of at least 21 years.
