Patient Benefit Advocate Team LeadOverview of PositionThe Patient Benefit Advocate Team Lead needs to perform all requirements of Level 1 and Level 2 PBA TPC . They are responsible for working Epic Charge Review and Claim Edits WQ's. They handle reconciliation of accounts, update files and system actions in the hospital system.They will work accounts 25%-30% of the time and assign work to other PBA team members.What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?Be knowledgeable of customer process and how to investigate for TPL coverageWork with other client teams and perform tasks of similar nature to current clientsResponsible for fielding questions from a Level 1 and Level 2Onsite training for new and existing employeesAdditional QA support including QA returns to a customer for Level 1 and Level 2 and make determination on releasing Level 1 to do their own denials/returns (which would allow them to become a Level 2)Resolving escalations.What are the requirements needed for this position?High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor's Degree PreferredMinimum of 1 year revenue cycle (ex: insurance billing, collections) experience including Health Insurance Appeals experienceExperience with Epic softwarePreferred 1-year experience at Level 2 Patient Benefit AdvocateFull understanding of the revenue cycleUnderstanding of Worker's Comp and PIP/Med PayWorking knowledge of EOB/EOR'sProperty and Casualty (Auto Insurance, Workers' Compensation) experience preferredSubrogation and Coordination of Benefits experience preferred.General knowledge of commercial health, Medicare, Medicaid, Auto, Work Comp InsuranceUnderstanding of clinical coding and medical terminologyLeadership experience preferredWhat other skills/experience would be helpful to have?Strong attention to detail.Ability to handle multiple tasks.Forward thinking.Exhibits professionalism with various levels of employees and customers.Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervisionOnsite training for new and existing employees.What are the working conditions and physical requirements of this job?
