This position supports the Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System (BICES) effort, a cutting-edge program supporting DoD intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations. With a dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES team directly supports the warfighter and their missions.

Clearance Requirements

• Active Secret Essential Role and Responsibilities
  • Performs complex systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering
  • Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis
  • Reviews completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management and/or clients
  • Plans and directs upgrades of operating systems and designs systems enhancements
  • Develops documentation on new or existing systems
  • Develops and directs tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements
  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems
  • Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance
  • Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility
  • Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced systems engineers and may have supervisory responsibilities
  • Serves as liaison with clients, participating in meetings to ensure client needs are met
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
  • Participates in special projects as required. Qualifications
    
    Education
    • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience. Experience
      
      Required Qualifications:
      • 5+ years of related systems engineering experience
      • Must have VMWare experience
      • Experience applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) required
      • Experience with vendor relationship and cost estimation
      • Previous experience administering Windows Server Domains
      • Previous experience with NetApp appliances Preferred Qualifications:
        • LINUX experience Highly Desired.
        • Previous experience with LINUX.
        • Previous experience with Solarwinds.
        • PowerShell, Python, Ansible, and PowerCli experience. Certification
          • DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II Compliant
          • MS Windows Certification (MCSA/MCSE)
          • VMWare Certification
          • Depending on job assignment, additional specific certifications may be required Additional Training Requirements
            • MCSA: Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate - Windows Server 2016
            • SharePoint 2016 Advanced Technical Course
            • SharePoint 2019 Advanced Technical Course
            • Windows Server 2016 Administration
