QUALIFIED DCJS CERT ARMED SECURITY COORDINATORJOB DESCRIPTIONPosition: SECURITY COORDINATORDepartment: OperationsReports To: Account Manager/Director OperationsPosition SummaryThe position is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of an assigned client with the company. Responsible for oversight of and being able to perform the functions of the Security Coordinator.We will accept walk in applicants on Monday Sept 18 from 9am-1pm. If you qualify we will gladly talk about this position. We are located at 131 Kings Way Hampton, VAEssential Job Functions:Liaison between Top Guard and the client and in-house security team by way of phone calls, in person on-site meetings, and email.Maintains communication with the officers when it comes to open enrollment, DCJS, uniform issues, clocking in and out, etc.Assists with properly staffing the site to include special events as required to ensure officers are in proper uniform and show up on time.Interview and hire qualified applicants to fill open post positions following company guidelines and regularly evaluate employee performance.Create and monitor weekly schedules for siteHandle and assist with call offs and NCNSHandle and assist with administrative tasks to include PSC's, Terms, Team Time Review, Time Off Requests, etc.Handle and assist with site employee's attendance and performance issues.Handle and assist with interviews, and the hiring of qualified applications to fill open post positions following company guidelines along with evaluating employee performance.Primary client contact for assigned portfolio. Responsible for regular face to face client interaction and proactive resolution of any operational issues at assigned client locations. Maintain ongoing and proactive client contact, including site visits, attending client-initiated meetings, timely response and follow-up to client communications, phone calls, lunches and other client special events.Perform additional projects or tasks as may be directed by the Account Manager or Senior Operations Manager.May be required to drive to client sites to address scheduling or employee issues on an as needed basis and provide own reliable transportation for such.Current approved QA uniform require attireRespond to minor incidents that occur, ensuring appropriate action is taken, all reports are properly completed, and appropriate parties are notified in a timely manner. May be responsible for writing a report of the situation or assisting with an investigation, as directed.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Minimum 3 - 5 years of professional-level experience required, managing non-exempt employees in a fast-paced, service organization.Prior experience in the security industry, law enforcement, military and/or customer service highly desired.Experience in scheduling, operations and/or employee management in a service-related industry a plus.Must be able to secure and maintain a valid Department of Criminal Justice Service (DCJS) Guard License.Must have and maintain an unexpired state driver's license with a driving record that meets Top Guard's driving record matrix and have the ability to safely operate a Top Guard vehicle.Will be required to drive to client sites for client visits, quality assurance checks, and to address scheduling or employee issues as needed basis. Must provide own reliable transportation for travel.Ability to write effective and concise reports and document operations and security officer facts and circumstances, investigations, and counseling sessions. Must be able to effectively communicate coaching, counseling, corrective actions, and termination meetings in a professional manner in accordance with company standards.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities essential to job functions:Demonstrate working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office softwareAbility to learn and efficiently operate various timekeeping. payroll, and guard management programs, such as WinTeam, eHub and CompleteReport.Energetic and focused personality with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines.Must demonstrate a high level of integrity, and apply rules, policies and employment actions in a consistent, fair and equitable manner in all situations.Strong organizational and planning skills.Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Professional, articulate and able to use good independent judgement and discretion.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required. Must be able to read, write and speak English in a clear, concise manner.Physical Demands:The employee may be required to walk, stand, reach with both hands and arms and may be required to drive a vehicle. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. May be required to climb stairs, ladders or ramps on a periodic basis. Must be able to perform these duties in the event of an emergency and be able to take a leadership role in assisting others to perform these functions.Must be able to work a full-time schedule on a consistent basis, maintain excellent attendance and work as needed to accomplish required workload.This position is performed in an office setting however, will require regular client and officer visits on site.The ambient noise level is usually quiet, consisting of normal conversations, business machines and telephones but occasionally may be above-normal for portions of the shift. Onsite noise levels will vary.The employee must be able to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgement and prioritize tasks and responsibilities.Must be able to focus and multi-task in busy environment with the ability to successfully handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner at all times.Must be able to clearly speak, read and write English.Employee must be able to read computer screens, correspondence and reports in English.Employee must be able to hear clearly, with or without reasonable assistance and be able to hear audible alarms.Must be able to abide by Top Guard's zero-tolerance drug/alcohol policy, not be under the influence of drugs (prescription or illegal) or alcohol to any degree while on duty and report prescription drug use if such has the possibility of affecting job performance in any manner.Must be able to adhere to company dress code and grooming standards, setting a good example of good hygiene and grooming for Security Officers.Unusual Demands:Work involves meeting multiple demands on a timely basis.
