DEPARTMENT: - Administration RESPONSIBLE TO: Director of Administrative Services GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY Meet or exceed Resident and Family expectations with move-in assimilation encompassing home, appliances, technology, services, relationships, and home-like culture. Meet or exceed education and support of level of living/service transitions and needs. Coordinate from reservation the hospitality experience of all new Independent Living Residents. This position takes the "baton" from Marketing Selection/Move-in Coordination after Move-In Day. QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least two years' experience or equivalent education in executive assistant/secretarial field.
  • At least five years' experience in providing exceptional customer service.
  • Experience working with seniors preferred.
  • Experience preferred in the concept of a Continuing Care Retirement Community.
  • Computer literate in office applications (Excel, Microsoft Word, Power Point, etc.).
  • Familiarity with basic technology such as cable TV and internet.
  • Familiarity with android and iPhones to assist residents.
  • Pleasant personality with outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate well with prospects, residents, family members, guests and Chesapeake staff.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to coordinate many different activities simultaneously.
  • Professional image and attitude at all times.
    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support and monitor all Director/Department visits with new residents.
  • Participate in Daily Huddle, and report on status of newly moved in residents.
  • Participate in Marketing meetings to actively understand resident's contract and move-in dates.
  • Conduct final walk-thru of apartment/cottage after other departments have finished, looking closely at all aspects of the unit turnover.
  • Ensuring all appliances, lights, technology, etc. is in working order
  • Meet with Move-In Coordinator to obtain New Resident Profile information and add to Community Apps.
  • Participate in Level of Living meetings for IL residents reporting on new residents if needed.
  • Monitor Incident Reports received and follow-up with resident if resident is within a year of move-in. Assist if needed.
  • Ensure technology (router, cable box) is in place and operational. Utilize Technology Assistant if needed.

  • Make contact with resident on move in day and continue close contact for approximately 30 days to assist with resident assimilation.
  • Consisting of creating work orders, dinner reservations, tour of community, technology, community happenings, setting Housekeeping schedule, etc.

  • Continue relationships with residents with regular check ins and continued assistance for at least 1 year.
  • Conduct quarterly New Resident Assimilation classes via Chesapeake University
  • Provide support and assistance with 10-year Refresh projects - work closely with residents on any preparation needed to accept 10-year refresh - removing items from the walls, packing up kitchen items, etc.
    WORKING CONDITIONS Works in a well-lit, well-ventilated building. Sits, stands, walks most of the working day with some bending and squatting. Subject to frequent interruptions. Subject to hostile or emotionally upset people.
