Description Chenega Federal Systems, LLC -- Company Job Title: Instructional System Designer I -- -- Clearance: Background Check Location: Hampton, VA Reports To: ISD Lead FLSA Status: Exempt, Full Time, Regular -- -- -- -- -- Summary: * The Instructional System Designer I will translate Subject Matter Expert (SME) data, material, facts, and relevant content into sound Instructional Design for production into a variety of Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) lessons.---- The IMI may include Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR) technologies to enhance learning.-- Provide products, consultation, and support services in interactive/simulation instructional design, strategies, assessment, and technology. -- Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position) * Coordinate and participate in instructional design projects from inception to completion * Consult with customers/SMEs on instructional design, learning objectives, and standards of behavior for each course to be developed * Utilize the ADDIE model to Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate the most appropriate instructional methods and tools needed for IMI Level II or III * Conduct Front End Analysis (FEA) to determine most appropriate learning modalities and course/content objectives * Design and produce storyboards meet SME defined course objectives * Develop graphics and/or provide graphics specifications for graphic artist rendering * Coordinate with IMI developers to ensure learning products meet the intended design and objectives prior to being released for customer evaluation * Ensure each piece of content is tested through established quality control measures and fixed prior to customer evaluation; maintain quality control metrics for continuous improvement Non-Essential Duties: * Other duties as assigned -- Supervisory Responsibilities: * None -- Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.) * Bachelor---s Degree in education related field of study. * Additional years of experience may be substituted for education. * 3 years related experience and/or training in processes and standards for planning and implementing instructional design and development; research methodologies and techniques. * 1 Year experience with instructional design for Level III IMI or Virtual Reality training Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite. * Working proficiency with content development software (e.g. Captivate, Articulate, etc.) * Strong interpersonal and communications skills. * Strong organizational and planning skills. * Knowledge of project management and efficient use of resources. * Ability to research and analyze complex information. * Ability to maintain confidentiality of work related information and materials. * Ability to maintain an established work schedules. * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. * Ability to obtain Secret Clearance * Ability to travel Diversity: * Shows respect and sensitivity for cultural differences; Educates others on the value of diversity; Promotes a harassment-free environment; Builds a diverse workforce. -- Ethics: * Treats people with respect; Keeps commitments; Inspires the trust of others; Works with integrity and ethically; Upholds organizational values. -- Physical Demands: * The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
