Job Description:

Lentech is seeking a Network Architect to support the design, implementation, monitoring, management, change management, software upgrades, problem/incident resolution, and vulnerability management utilizing automation technologies such as Ansible, Python, and Cisco Prime as part of a large technology refresh initiative. The Network Architect shall focus on implementation and coordination of wired and wireless network equipment across hundreds of sites across the globe, remotely coordinating the work. Additionally, the Network Architect may be required to perform Level / Tier 2+ Network Architecting and Administration of applicable networks to include Wide Area Network (WAN), Local Area Network (LAN), Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), and Data Centers assigned by GSA. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: The Network Engineer shall perform the following (to include, but not limited to) activities: Oversee and implement switch provisioning (configuration) and implementation across multiple sites, including coordinating cutover logistics and change management. Establish network monitoring for newly installed and replaced equipment. Support and operate Software-Defined Wide Area Networks (SD-WAN) sites Support and maintain network equipment and configuration (routers and routing). Support, Vulnerability Management efforts for all network devices utilizing automation and network management technologies. Manage the LAN/WAN routing protocol between the routers and perform port management, network capacity management (including planning and trending). Manage WLAN infrastructures to include access points (WAPs), wireless LAN controllers, and integrations into Software Defined Access (SDA) infrastructures. Utilize and implement network orchestration tools and techniques to facilitate automated and consistent configurations, management, testing, deployment, and operations of physical and virtual devices within the network. Manage status, errors, and inbound and outbound traffic statistics of all routing interfaces, bandwidth utilization, and errors of all inbound and outbound LAN/WAN circuits. Provides consulting services to members of the professional staff and to the customer in the analysis and design of data processing systems, management systems, scientific systems, and other related areas. Makes technical decisions on kinds of data to be gathered and methods to be used in data collection and analysis. Provides technical direction, guidance, and assistance to assigned projects, suggesting efficient approaches and methods for solving problems. Develops analytical and computational techniques and methodology for problem solution. Prepares and presents written and oral reports. Prepares and presents proposals, or portions thereof, primarily in field of specialty Analyzes, diagnoses, and recommends solutions to complex problems. Escalate issues to vendor and third-party entities, as necessary and directed by the Government. Generates / updates network documentation in coordination with the onsite installation resources. Work is performed under the general direction of a senior level manager. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and client personnel at all levels. Produce knowledge base articles and SOPs. CONTRACT REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Public Trust Clearance and ITILv4 Foundation Certification by start date. Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others. Design and develop solutions to complex application problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Perform systems management and integration functions Proven ability to work independently in a full and/or partial remote environment with limited supervision and may supervise/lead others. Possess the ability to communicate in both oral and written forms, demonstrating an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff as well as clients. Maintain standard working hours per the DIGIT contract and to be available for meetings, and other collaborative efforts during working hours. Demonstrated ability to apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments with the ability to use practical experience and training to determine how to accomplish tasks. CONTRACT DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The following are DESIRED for this position: Proficient in configuring the following protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and Static routes. Scripting experience with python and Ansible. Deep understanding and experience with Cisco Prime Experience in reviewing official CVE documents, examining IOS devices for vulnerabilities, and implementing necessary mitigations. Documentation of findings and preparation of remediation actions if required. Proficiency in SecureCRT, including the use of custom buttons with regex to log into multiple devices simultaneously and issue commands. Experience building custom VBA scripts in Excel. Experience utilizing Cisco support portal to obtain Images, and patches as needed. Familiar with SD-WAN architectures such as Cisco (Viptela), and VMware (VeloCloud) Design network architecture for Software Design Access / Software Defined Networks, utilizing Cisco DNA Center. Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA). Must be willing to work a variety of shifts, including holidays as scheduled. Shall possess the ability to communicate in both oral and written forms, demonstrating an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff as well as clients. Demonstrated ability to apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Familiarity with the following technologies: Active Directory, Windows, ServiceNow, Network Monitoring Systems (Solarwinds), Cisco Prime, LAN/WAN control protocols. Security+ certification. Proficiency in the Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Chat, Meet, Docs, Slides, Sheets), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Slack, and ServiceNow. Must be willing to work a variety of shifts, including holidays as scheduled. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE The following are the education and experience required for this position: Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 4 - 9 years of related experience. Experience as a remote worker demonstrating time management and self discipline with cultural change management and Agile mindset.
