What's a typical day as Machine Shop Production Supervisor? You'll be:
--- Coordinating production activities among operators ensuring standard and efficient processes are followed
--- Overseeing production operations for an assigned shift using documented planning methods and an active member of the Safety Committee
--- Assisting in planning of production operations, priorities and sequences for manufacturing products
--- Directing production activities in accordance with production schedules and established priorities
--- Ensuring production variances associated with materials scrap and usage, are maintained at established goals for the assigned shift
--- Following engineering specifications for process parameters making adjustments to bring product into specification when necessary
--- Evaluating and suggesting alternative production methods for continuous improvement
--- Recommending design and development of tooling and equipment, i.e., fixtures, material handling equipment, production gages and inspection devices as required for new and existing production

--- Have a Bachelor's degree in a related field
--- Have experience in a Supervisory/Manager role and managing complex projects and direct reports
--- -Have CNC Milling experience
--- Have the ability to research, and recommend the purchase of new capital equipment
--- Have the ability to initiate, develop, or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve goals
--- Have a thorough understanding of machining processes, equipment technology, shop procedures and how to read blueprints
