Job Description:

Hampton Roads Cardiology in Hampton, VA has an immediate full-time position for an Echocardiographer Technician. Echo Tech is responsible for daily operation of the echo lab, equipment maintenance, the report of equipment failures, and quality improvement. Tech should maintain high standard of medical ethics at all times. Tech should be proficient in performing simple and complex echocardiograms and should have knowledge in diagnostic digital images and hemodynamic data for physician interpretation. Echo Tech is responsible for maintaining standards and of compliance for lab accreditation. Tech works closely with cardiologist to obtain optimal Echocardiography quality.

Education: Must be registered Cardiac Sonographer, Credentials RDCS or RCS. BLS certification required

Skills: Basic computer skills; good communication skills; capable of functioning alone in diagnostic room
