Job Description:
Position Purpose: The job of truck driver/ production worker is
primarily responsible for routine tasks involved in the pick-up and
delivery of items for our commercial customers. Responsible for
maintaining trucks and equipment. Perform duties in the warehouse
when not driving or assisting on trucks. Primary Duties:
- Drives truck to various destinations, drop off points and
warehouses
- Helps coordinate pick-ups and drop-offs
- Verifies pick-up and drop-offs against delivery tickets
- Maintains truck log according to company, state, and federal
regulations
- Reports road incidents to supervisor
- Maintains contact with supervisor to communicate any barriers
in deliveries and/or pick-ups
- Loads and unloads truck
- Operates forklift and electrical pallet jack when
necessary
- Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights,
brakes, gas, oil, and water
- Provides excellent customer service to customers, volunteers,
and co-workers
- Communicates effectively and appropriately with customers,
contractors, company representatives, management and peers
- Follows production guidelines and specifications when working
on production
- Works on production lines to meet production requirements
- Operates and maintains machinery and production line
equipment
- Observes all safety guidelines and reports safety concerns to
management
- Promotes the mission of VersAbility Resources
- Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of
ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
Qualifications/Skills Knowledge & Abilities:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to administer regulations and standards
- Ability to foster positive relationships
- Ability to manage work/priorities
- Knowledge of Department of Labor standards
- Skill with interpersonal relationships
- Skill with oral communication
- Skill with written communication Education: High School Diploma
or G.E.D. Experience: Prior Experience Required; current driver's
license with a good driving record (CDL not required); forklift
training certificate preferred Environmental: The incumbent will
work primarily in an industrial production setting under a variety
of conditions including an office environment, an industrial
production facility, warehouse, and outdoors. Physical Demands :
The physical demands described here are representative of those
that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the

as long periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven, or rocky

may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and
abilities such as above average agility and dexterity. Must be able
to frequently and occasionally lift at up to 100 lbs., bend through
a full range of motion, and stand for extended periods of time.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close
vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth
perception and ability to adjust focus. Certifications: Forklift
training certificate
