Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) seeks a candidate to perform Tier-1 help desk support and maintenance, troubleshooting, and remediation of customer IT. Support to hardware systems may include desktop computer workstations, VoIP telephones, Video Teleconferencing devices, printers, scanners, cellular smart phones, tablet computers, and laptop computers. The client systems technician may provide support for customer software applications, such as email client, web browsers, and data processing applications. The specialist will provide first-level contact with customers and convey resolutions to issues; track and route trouble tickets; and perform additional client-level IT support. Specific tasks include but are not limited: plan and manage IT project workflows; interact with customers to identify IT problems, expeditiously troubleshoot, and resolve issues; coordinate with external organizations to include Tier-2 and Tier-3 organizations; install systems & implement IT projects; and promote best practices to improve organizational process efficiencies. Security Clearance Requirements TS/SCI--clearance will be required to perform assigned duties. Required Experience Bachelor---s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information management, or equivalent IT degree (experience may be substituted in lieu of degree). At least 2 years of relevant IT system support experience.-- Applicants must possess current DoD 8570 IAT Level II or III certification, such as a CompTIA Security+ certification. Be capable of performing frequent lifting and moving of IT equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
