Raytheon Intelligence, Information, and Services (IIS) seeks a Project Analyst/Planner to join our team in support of the Air Operations Center Weapon System (AOC WS) Long-Term Modification and Sustainment (LTM&S) program. The position is located in Hampton, Virginia, at the US Air Force customer site.The Project Analyst/Planner will support the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects of varying contract type, size, complexity, and levels of risk. This position is one of three planners and schedulers on an integrated team. The team has significant interaction with Program Managers, Government personnel, senior technical personnel, and other functional and support organizations.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Establish and maintain schedule baselines for the AOC LTM&S program.Ensure Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) is developed within time, budget, content restraints, and constraints. Facilitate and assist program in developing IMS. Contribute to continued improvement and implementation of new project, scheduling concepts, techniques, policies, and procedures to meet management requirements.Understand schedule critical path, perform analysis (including contingency plans) and generate metrics.Analyze the IMS probability of success; explain and defend schedules to the customer. Provide data and reporting formats for all types and levels of program reviews. Prepare written and verbal reports to management regarding schedule variances. Conduct resource loading/leveling analysis to identify resource burdens and gaps for not only personnel but equipment.Ensure training, compliance, technological currency, and other tasks as required for the team.Required skills: In addition to a minimum of four years--- experience as program planner using computer based scheduling systems:US Citizen. DoD Secret clearance (or the ability to upgrade from a Confidential within 60 days of hire.)Solid planning/scheduling skills with ability to multitask and manage plans and schedules for multiple small to large projects in a cross-functional environment. Determine and communicate critical path and perform analysis for large programs.Understand planning milestones, major decision points, spacing of events, identifying events to tie activities and the significance of accomplishments and criteria (achievable, objective, of interest to the customer, contractual commitment, and comprehensive explicit).Team communications skills, ability to work in a fast paced environment, work independently and achieve results.Effectively support and contribute to meetings and status sessions.Develop and update program metrics.Understand schedule critical path, performs related analyses and generate metrics.Ability to coordinate several teams working on multiple sub-projects.Competence in Microsoft Office tools. Demonstrated success in using tools for program planning.In-depth knowledge of the defense industry with regards to Event-Accomplishment-Criteria hierarchy.Demonstrated experience developing an IMS.Desired:Proficiency / familiarity with MicroSoft Project application.Background to include some scheduling functionality.Knowledge of Air Force mission / flight operations. Accomplished presentation and briefing skills.Required Education:Bachelor degree in business, finance, software or systems engineering with 4 years--- experience,OR12 years--- experience can be substituted for a degree.This position requires a U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization. 125095
