Our Client is seeking a Sales Application Engineer for a Direct Hire/FTE position in Lancaster, PA. Responsibilities: Support arm of the sales team, working as a technical resource throughout the sales process. Estimate and Quote. The AE performs a hybrid role of pre-sales engineer, cost estimator, and quote content creation. Application Engineering:Review customer specs and documents to determine scope of project supply. Perform equipment sizing calculations, such as conveyor speed and loading calculations. Use AutoCAD to generate pre-sale Conceptual Layout Drawings (CLD) in 2D. Use Autodesk Inventor to generate Conceptual equipment blocks in 3D. Estimate, using SAP to create cost estimates for custom and manufactured equipment. Generate quotes based on customer needs and quote text library. Create sales presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint. Utilize Microsoft Dynamics CRM to organize and prioritize workload. Drive the sales handover process to the project team upon order receipt. Required Skills: 5 years of experience in cost estimating and/or sales engineering. CAD experience including 2D layouts. Understand manufacturing methods and predict costs. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Occasional travel to customers for meetings and to take site measurements. B.S. in engineering, related technical field, or equivalent experience with food equipment. Current Driver's License. Desired Skills: 3D CAD experience is a plus. Experience with FMEA, CRM, and SAP is a plus. Passport for possible Canada travel. Pay for this position is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
