SPECIALIZED LOGISTICS SALES REP/DRAYAGE, TRANSLOADING,PORT
HAULING THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION BUT MUST RESIDE NEAR SUFFOLK,
VIRGINIA The ideal sales representative will combine deep industry
knowledge, logistical expertise, and exceptional interpersonal
skills to effectively promote the company's services—including
warehousing, transloading, drayage, and specialized port hauling.
They should also have strong familiarity with the Mid-Atlantic
region and established relationships with logistics companies
operating there. Key Qualifications & Experience Industry-Specific
Knowledge : Familiarity with container logistics, including
drayage, transloading, and flatbed trucking, is essential to
understand and address client needs effectively. Sales and
Negotiation Skills : Proven ability to identify potential clients,
present tailored solutions, and negotiate deals to meet customer
requirements and achieve sales targets. Technical Proficiency :
Understanding of handling specialized cargo, such as out-of-gauge
loads, and knowledge of equipment like crawler cranes and reefer
storage facilities. Communication and Relationship Building :
Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships
with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Educational Background : A degree in business, logistics, or a
related field, coupled with experience in sales or supply chain
management, is advantageous. Core Responsibilities Client
Engagement : Identify and approach potential clients requiring
warehousing and logistics solutions, understanding their specific
needs. Solution Presentation : Demonstrate the features and
benefits of the company's services, customizing offerings to align
with client requirements. Sales Execution : Negotiate terms and
close deals, ensuring both client satisfaction and company
profitability Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams,
including logistics coordinators and equipment operators, to ensure
seamless service delivery. Market Analysis : Stay informed about
industry trends and competitor offerings to identify new
opportunities and maintain a competitive edge. Ideal Candidate
Profile Proactive and Results-Driven : Demonstrates initiative in
seeking new business opportunities and strives to exceed sales
targets. Adaptable and Resilient : Capable of navigating the
dynamic logistics industry and adjusting strategies to meet
evolving client needs. Customer-Centric Approach : Prioritizes
client satisfaction by delivering tailored solutions and
maintaining open communication. Team-Oriented : Collaborates
effectively with colleagues to ensure cohesive service delivery and
client support. Salary: Base Pay of $75,000.00 -$120,000.00 with
