Job Description NEW Senior Hematology Medical Laboratory
Scientist - Southern Virginia We are seeking an experienced Senior
Medical Laboratory Scientist to join a fast-paced, 24/7 laboratory
environment. This leadership-focused role is ideal for a strong
technical professional who enjoys mentoring staff and ensuring
high-quality laboratory operations. Rotating shift. Requirements: •
Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field •
ASCP Certification required • Hematology experience required •
Minimum of 3 years of laboratory scientist/technologist experience
Key Responsibilities: • Supervise, train, and assess competency of
laboratory staff and students • Perform and interpret complex
laboratory testing using scientific principles • Support daily
technical operations, including instrumentation and workflow
oversight • Maintain departmental policies, procedures, and
accreditation readiness • Manage proficiency testing processes and
ensure accurate data submission • Collect and analyze performance
improvement data and document progress • Promote fiscal
