Public - G Job Duties Organizational Objective: The Grant
Coordinator reports directly to the Assistant Director of Systems &
Processing and is responsible for coordinating the implementation
of program controls to ensure that program integrity and compliance
are adhered to for federal Title IV to include the Federal Pell
Grant (FPELL), Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant
(FSEOG) and the Federal TEACH Grant programs. The Grant Coordinator
handles all facets of the Federal Pell Grant program which
disburses $14 million annually to ensure accuracy as well as the
awarding of FSEOG and TEACH Grant funds. In addition, the Grant
Coordinator is responsible for monthly reconciliation of the
federal programs. The Grant Coordinator is also responsible for the
transfer monitoring program, processing of summer school
applicants, and reviewing enrollment verification records in the
National Student Clearinghouse (NCS) to ensure data is reported
accurately and timely. The Grant Coordinator will work closely with
the Office of the Registrar to ensure proper reporting of
enrollment and degree status updates reporting between the
Colleague Student Information System and the Federal Department of
Education online systems (NSC and the National Student Loan
Database System (NSLDS). Purpose of Position: The purpose of the
position is to ensure that the University maintains program
integrity and compliance with federal and state regulations as it
relates to federal Title IV as well as compliance with the Office
of the Inspector General. Minimum Qualifications Knowledge of
Financial Aid software programs Knowledge of the Colleague system
preferred Ability to make independent decisions and sound judgement
Knowledge of federal, state, and institutional aid regulations and
requirements. Ability to apply knowledge, interpret, and make
decisions regarding regulatory statutes Ability to work with
diverse populations Ability to work well in a team environment,
with a high degree of accuracy, courtesy, timeliness, and structure
Excellent written and oral communication skills, patience, and
commitment to customer services Preferred Qualifications At least
two years of experience working in a Financial Aid Office
